The land of prosecco, an ancient land long renowned for its excellent wine production, extends from Conegliano to Valdobbiadene. These produce the prosecco vines, lying on the gentle slopes of a landscape characterised by abbeys and ancient parishes.
In this marvellous environment winds the “prosecco road” which begins in Conegliano, runs through Rua di Feletto, passes inside the ancient Camaldolese monastery of S. Maria Assunta and arrives in S. Pietro di Feletto, where the ancient XII century medieval parish, with its Romanesque bell tower watches over splendid XII century frescoes and a "Madonna and Child with the Saints" from the fourteen hundreds.
The itinerary then proceeds towards
Refrontolo, famous for its
Prosecco but also for its excellent
Marzemino where, among century-old trees, you can make out the Medieval Molinetto della Croda. The “prosecco road” then veers towards Pieve di Soligo, Solighetto and Farra di Soligo to finally reach
Valdobbiadene, the undisputed home of
Prosecco and of
Cartizze.
On your return you can leave Valdobbiadene to follow the Piave and rediscover the
Places of the Great War, places that areine
xtricably linked with the history of our country. Along this trail through the heart of history you can admire an altar piece from
Pordenone in the
church of
Moriago della Battaglia and reach the Nature Reserve on the Isola dei Morti on the Piave.
